Here we are!

So we left the house on Friday morning planning on staying at granite creek for a couple of days and hanging out in the hot springs and just relaxing, Checked the Internet Thursday evening everything is fine, between that time and the time we arrived at the canyon entrance the canyon was on fire, they evacuated the hot springs, and the campground, Now we are really worried as trying to find a camp spot in Jackson hole on a Friday night in the middle of July could of been a night mare, but we drove into the grand Tetons and found a spot at the Gros Ventre campground. Not a bad campground, no amenities, so we fired up the generator clicked on the air conditioner and nothing, The fan comes on and that's it, and its really warm out still 96 out and the trailer is pretty warm inside, We made a drink fired up the barbecue, grilled some steaks and waited by 10:30 it had cooled of enough that we could sleep. Sat morning called Wayne at the Virginian to come out and have a look he climbs up on the trailer removes the cover tells Mitch to turn it on so he can check the power supply and lo and behold the damn thing works. We all had a great laugh we packed up and headed into Cody by the time we got there it was 104 out (seems this part of the country is in a heat wave) pulled int the campground fired up the air conditioner worked just fine, did some shopping, skipped the museum this time as it takes days and days to see everything, just spent the night and headed out north we took the Chief Joseph highway out of Cody which is an incredible drive in itself the new truck handled the grades wonderfully ( 14 miles of 7% grades) at the end of this road you can either go into west into Cooke city or go East over the Bear tooth highway into red lodge We having never went over the Bear tooth decided to go that way. Now believe me when I tell you this is not the road that you want to pull the fifth wheel over its steep, narrow lofts of up and then lots of down. The new truck took it all in stride and we never missed a beat, but I was very glad to get down the other side. (I have pictures by the wifi here is iffy at best so will have to wait on those) We drove into Livingston and stayed 2 nights, went to all the museums and drove into Yellowstone on afternoon got to see a mama grizzly with 2 cubs plus all the usual suspects, the park is really not as crowded as usual we were pleasantly surprised. This morning we drove into Bozeman and are currently at the KOA, Its raining and wonderful, did some shopping, went out to eat, and that brings me to the right now. We are moving tomorrow to west Yellowstone were I know the wifi is much better will try to get some pics on.
