new projects!

Here is my latest project, I know it doesn't look like much yet but hopefully it will when I am done. This is peyote stitch and something I have never done and because of that I bought this as a kit which included directions (thank god) and everything you need to complete the project.
After several (like 4) false starts I finally got the hang of it this is about 2 inches wide and I have about a inch done. These are seed beads

As you can see Rocky has made himself right at home in the new house, we had planned on removing this couch but the dogs love it so much that we have decided to leave it. Odin has actually been getting on it at night to sleep which has given us much more room in our bed. Another plus is underneath there is lots of storage for all my arts and crafts

The mountains of Kentucky were beautiful. I can't wait to go back.

The first night in the new house, This was a beautiful campground

Sunset in Tennessee, I didn't take any pics of the campground as it wasn't that great plus we got in late and left early the next morning. We did check out some state parks and they were really great, they have camping fishing and Golf at many of the parks.

Kentucky

campground in Kentucky. This campground is located behind the Kentucky music hall of fame. They have a whole complex with museums, stores, log buildings, a music hall, authentic arts and crafts (bet you can't tell I fell in love with Kentucky). They have concerts there year around and they come by the bus fulls.

our spot

We are pretty much moved into the new house. We love it. We are still waiting to hear about our closing on the big house so we are still in a waiting pattern.
I have a new computer (I am working on the old one today) with windows Vista and I am not sure I like it. The computer itself is great it weighs about a third of the old one but the new programming is taking some getting used to also I have to find the program that downloads pic from my camera to the puter and get it installed.

were home!

We made it home and mostly in one piece, we stopped at Graceland in Memphis and while pulling into the parking lot some guy in a rental car ran into our new trailer. Not major damage but enough we have to get hold of the adjuster tomorrow and get them out here then find somebody who does fiberglass work. Anyways here are some of the 106 pictures I took on the trip I will post some each day with a description of what or where we were
In case anybody wondered if there really was an Oscar Myer Wiener mobile here you go. This passed us on I-40 in Tennessee. I was really surprised that these turned out as we were traveling at 65 miles per hour and it passed us
These next pics are for Larry as we passed through his hometown of Shamrock Texas. I didn't realize we were going to go thru there till we were almost there I took quite a few pics. Hope he recognizes something or at least the sign, lol

This is Santa Rosa New mexico and one of my favorite stops on this trip. I loved the town, the campground, and the weather. We met a really nice couple from Ohio who also had a Siberian Husky and had a nice visit with them.

Pagosa Springs, loved this campground and would love to go back when it is warm, there is no snow on the ground and the tree's have leaves.
The new house has been wonderful, easily heated and very comfortable. This whole trip was full of new places, new experiences, and wonderful memories.

Pagosa springs!

We are in Pagosa springs, Colorado. we spent last night in Santa Rosa New Mexico and loved it. 62 degrees when we arrived, met a really nice couple from Ohio who are headed to Arizona for the winter they also have a Siberian husky named Kiya . So we had some things in common and had a nice visit.
Here in Pagosa springs they have had snow already. Rocky was so very happy that he danced then rolled and rolled in it. We are headed out this morning heading north we are about 431 miles from Roosevelt and may just make the push to be there tonight.

Memphis,

We spent the night in Memphis, along the Mississippi river in a wonderful RV park that sits so close you can watch the big boats go up and down the river. We visited Graceland yesterday I liked it, but then I am an Elvis fan. I had no live sightings of him but am keeping my eyes open.
We have enjoyed Kentucky and Tennessee very much and will come back we stopped and checked out some state parks in both a states that we would definitely stay there if we get back this way. Were headed east into Arkansas and then Oklahoma this morning.
For anybody who's trying to e-mail me you may have realized that my e-mail is not working apparently I didn't realize that it was connected to the shop DSL account which has been closed so in the mean time you can email me at dazzlinme@yahoo.com.
Also I have lots of pics but no transfer cable if I get somewhere where I can get one I will post pics.

We are here!

We have arrived in Ohio. We actually crossed the border yesterday about one o'clock and decided we wanted off the interstate so we took some roads and really got to see the little towns and things. There is no open space here. Lots of farms and farm land. Its a little strange in that you will pass a farm house, some farm land, and then there will be a high school surrounded by farm land and nothing else. or a business and nothing else. Almost every farm house is white with black shutters and every barn is red.
We picked up the new house and its really great, We are in the Wapakoneta KOA(in drum roll please Wapakoneta Ohio) and so far so good, everything works. there is nothing broken or missing. I brought enough things with us that we can get by till we get home but we did have to go to Walmart and pick up some food. We had on minor issue on the way here with the big diesel tank leaking diesel onto our luggage. So we had some diesel soaked cloths to contend with and a bag of dogfood that got ruined. But other than that we have pretty much had a good trip.
We had our first experience with the toll roads starting just west of Chicago Then going across Indiana and then again into Ohio. with the total in tolls for all three being $7.75 wouldn't want to have to drive them everyday at those prices.
Well this is getting a little long, We are headed to Kentucky tomorrow and if I can find wifi I will update this.

Where are we?

We are in Williamsburg Iowa, We spent last night in Cheyenne at the motel 6 with trains running behind the motel and to the East of the hotel, so needless to say we didn't get much rest. We were both up by 5:00am and out of there by 6.
We have been surprised by both Nebraska and Iowa, they are not just flat, but have rolling hills. Lots of tree's, lots of interesting buildings and there rest area's are nice. We stopped at the blue river in Nebraska and took the dogs for a walk they had a nice bridge over the river and really nice walking trails.
Oh and Diesel is from 293 to 297 a gallon I have pics to prove it. unfortunately I didn't bring my cord to download from my camera, hoping tomorrow to pick one up from walmart or some place.
I seen the cutest sticker in the window of a truck in Wyoming and it said
Wyoming sucks.
now go home.
and tell your friends.
were looking forward to more new scenery tomorrow and the weather has been in the 70"s hopefully that continues.

Our Ohio trip

Kolby has decided to go to Ohio with us, which makes us happy, and makes others happy and unhappy all at the same time.
We are done with the shop as of today, its kind of a happy/sad thing as we have been there for 7 years. While I won't miss dealing with the state. I will miss all of our customers who for the most part have become friends more than customers. most have our contact info and plan on keeping in touch and some even joining us on our travels.
We have been very lucky in that we have been planning this for years now and finally it is starting to come together.
I didn't take my camera today, and now wishing I had. The taking down of our Sign would of been a great blog post. but then I had nothing to compare it to as I took none when we were putting it up. The shop has been a source of much worry, but also has given us the chance to now go and travel, if we haven't done this I do not believe we would be where we are now.
So how would I rate being a business owner. well if you had asked me anytime in the last 7 years I would of said, DO NOT BECOME A BUSINESS OWNER. But today cleaning out the things we want to keep and realizing that if we had not done this we would not of be in the position to go and travel, I would say it has all been worth it. it has been crazy and very stressful and at times I wasn't sure we would be able to make payroll or pay the bills, but in the long run it has paid off.
I am now officially unemployed and very happy to be.
I will be updating this from the road on the way to get our new house. I'm not sure if I will have wifi so if I am not updating this is the reason why. we need to back by the 21st
