An update!

Liz is still in the hospital, the swelling and redness have gone down but her white blood cell count is elevated which indicates there is still infection present. Yesterday they did a blood culture and a culture on the tissue in her hand. This morning they are going to do a CT scan and see if they can pinpoint the source so they can change the antibiotics. Liz is pretty much taking it in stride and I think will be glad to finally get to go home as I am sure her mom will be.

Poor Odin!

not sure whats going on here just walked in and Odin and Rocky were laying like this, yes that is Odin's leg over Rocky's neck

I think maybe this is Rocky's way of sympathizing with Odin, as We had him to the vets yesterday and had him neutered

Kinda crazy around here

This is what Kolby's room looked like before, yes that is dark purple with silver stars

This is Kolby's room now It took one coat of primer and 2 coats of white paint in order to cover the purple

Its so bright now, I hired Drue and his friend Tommy to paint it for me. They did a wonderful job so I have kept them on to paint the rest of the house. Drue currently isn't working do to the fact he was in accident and still has stitches in his fingers and in his arm just above his elbow, now you ask what was he doing when he got in this accident, He and his friend Jesse were out Drinking and driving (Drue wasn't driving just drinking and riding, the idiot) and they rolled the car. I hope they both have learned a lesson, Drue claims he has but we will have to wait and see.

Elizabeth has been in the hospital since Tuesday, She was bitten on the hand by a cat and it became infected, the poor little tyke's hand swelled up like a balloon and turned bright red so they have had her on IV antibiotics, were hoping she will get to come home today but the doctors want it completely cleared up before they will release her. I for some reason didn't have the heart to take my camera and get pictures of it as it seemed a little morbid so you'll just have to take my word for how really ugly it was. Her dad did take pictures of it to use later on when she wants to get a cat, as a reason why not to have a cat. She is really feeling better and her moms having a hard time keeping her entertained.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kolby is here for a visit, but I haven't really gotten to see her much between running to hospital and everything else I have had going on, She is here till Sunday so maybe this weekend.

Before & after

The garden spot before
garden spot after with peas, tomato, and pepper plants
grass in the back before
ready to plant

and grass is growing
pond before
pond as it looks now
The yard is starting to look really nice and we are almost done. We have ONE more little cement pour and then we are done pouring cement. and everything else is planted, sprinkler system is in. We have a couple of places we want to fill in with gravel and we are Done.I sprayed some weeds with weed killer over the weekend and they laughed in my face and kept on growing not sure what I am going to do about it but will figure something out.
Bought the primer and paint to paint Kolby's room. I did call her and ask if she was sure she didn't want to come home before I repainted it. She declined, so then I am planning on painting it this weekend.

The sound!

The view from our campsite
Our campsite

A light house on Whidbey island

Looking towards Seattle

The marina at Anacortes
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So we had a wonderful stay on the sound, which included fresh fish that Jack caught. The little girls had a great time picking up shells, whale watching, clamming. I love the islands and would love to go back and stay for a month or so.
We left on Thursday and headed for Idaho, Were currently in the Blackwell island RV park on the river in Couer d Alene. The river is still high but the weather has been wonderful and lake Couer d Alene is beautiful.
I have tons more pics but uploading is slow so will save them till later

We made it!

The snake river
This was our camp site the second night
about sixty miles into Oregon

pretty little park.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We made it to Jordonelle state park on thurs with no problem, Kolby and Daniel drove up and visited for the evening. It was pretty cool out and we were glad we wern't staying for long.
On Friday we didn't get started to early and we stopped to let the kids and dogs have a break we stopped pretty early and found this nice little campground on the snake river. The boys went fishing and Jack caught a really big carp which he threw back. Shawna, opie and I just hung at the campground and relaxed.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On sat we headed out through Oregon and had a hell of a head wind but once we got into the mountains of Washington it was wonderful. we stopped a couple of times just to stretch and let the kids, and dogs run around and arrived at the Fidalgo bay campground about 5:30 It was a little windy and cold but we were very glad to be here.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today we just kinda went of and done our own thing Mitch and I headed out to Whidbey Island and had wonderful weather and a pretty great day. I took a ton of pics but the ones I posted took about 10 minutes a piece to post so I may have to wait till I get home to post some more. But I will keep you posted.

A change in plans!

I have no pictures to post as I have been so busy getting ready to go on our trip.
We did have a pretty much last minute change of plans, as you know we were going to north western Idaho then back home through Yellowstone,
Now were headed to the Puget sound in Washington, and I am so excited. The whales are in the sound. The fishing sounds like its good (according to the guy Mitch talked to at the charter service) Its still early enough in the season that the campgrounds are not full. So it should be a wonderful trip
Hopefully I will have Wifi along the way so I will be able to post some updates and if not I will be gone till after the 16Th.

Just 3 days!

Chelle helping grandpa wash grandma's truck
new cement
this section complete
My garden spot planted with tomatoes peppers and peas

grass planted in the backyard
flowers all planted

a close up or flowers
The pond is looking good with the new plants
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We had a busy weekend here's what we got done
1. grass planted in the back yard
2. cement poured in 2 spots
3. tomatoes and peppers planted in the garden
4. flowers planted in barrels, boxes and around the pond
5. grass mowed and fertilized in the front
6. fifth wheel cleaned, packed ready to go.
plus I went on a 2 hour scooter ride on Sat with Shawna and Debbie which was so much fun I now have 90 miles on my scooter, had to go fill up with gas and it cost me $4.00 bucks, which didn't hurt at all.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a new tenant to my pond, a frog has moved in. We haven't seen him yet but boy can we hear him. If his chirping (not sure if that's what frogs do) is an indication of how happy he is then he is one happy frog.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chelle came and spent the night Friday, and despite the fact that she didn't feel well, we had a great time. She helped Grandpa wash grandmas truck apparently the truck is grandmas cause grandma always picks her up in it, according to her.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3 days and we are out of here. All I have left to do is buy groceries for the fifth wheel and we are ready to go. I have been taking Rocky out to the fifth wheel everyday so that he will be accustomed to being in there so he will be comfortable on our trip. He loves the trailer so I expect he will do great.
