We had planned on going to the corn maze today, but as it turns out they are only open by reservations on Wed, So we went to park in Bluebell instead.
As you can see the kids had a really good time including the big kids!

Little Lizzy

This little one is growing like a weed!
Its amazing how quickly they grow and change.
Odin has claimed this baby as his baby and won't let the other dogs get close to her.

Our Weekend!

Finished the cement in front of the garage
A little hawk that landed out back of the house
fall colors south of our house

cottonwoods!
We poured a little cement this weekend finished the cement on front of the garage now just have to get the big door hung and waalaa no more having to clean the snow off the cars in the winter. Well OK that is sorta right as now we own 3 cars and the garage only holds 2. I have been driving the 06 dodge and I really, really, really, love this truck. Its big and beefy and more comfortable to ride in than the 01 dodge. I haven't driven my Durango since we went to the Gorge and am in the process of deciding whether or not to sell it. The only concern I have is the dually is not so good in the snow, and since I don't like driving in the snow anyways I may want to drive it if we have a really snowy winter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Its really turned off fallish here. The trees all around the house are changing. My tomato plants have withered and died and it just feels like winter is coming. We pretty much got the yard ready. I pulled the pump out of my pond, all of the plants around it are dying off hopefully they will survive the winter and come back next spring.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I have a whole bunch of Elizabeth pictures to post but will save them for one night this week.

More from the weekend!

We had an absolutely beautiful last camping trip of the season! I dreamed last night that we were camping (should of known better as the bed in the camper has never been that comfortable) I guess I am just not ready for winter to come.

What a difference!

Here is the view from the back window of the trailer
The canyon was gorgeous
Our camp spot
The weather was perfect!
We had an absolutely wonderful weekend. The weather on Sat was really great and we were able to sit outside without a jacket even. We made stew in the new Coleman slow cooker which was really great and I loved the slow cooker.
This was our last trip of the season which is sad and now its time to clean out the trailer and winterize it.

Places where people had slid off
Our truck and trailer

Sunday morning what the truck looked like
That's our fire pit Sunday morning........................................
We got the trailer off the mountain on Monday. The sun was out all day and the road was in a lot better shape!
Now we are off to Whiterocks this weekend ( I know gluten for punishment) but the weather is supposed to be better and the elevation is a lot lower.

Sat morning this is what it looked like when we woke up
here is where we parked the trailers (we were unable to bring them off the mountain)

getting out of where we were parked for the weekend

this guy wasn't as lucky!
...................................................................................................................................................................
...................................................................................................................................................................
Our weekend was good until Sunday when we decided we should get the hell off the mountain. We Had rain most of Friday night, then turning to snow. Which would of been fine as it was supposed to break up sat evening and be clear on Sunday which it did brake up Sat afternoon, but more snow moved in Sat night and we woke up to a lot of snow Sunday, and it was still snowing, So we made the decision to get off the mountain.....................................................................................................
Mitch had chains for the our 01 Dodge which helped as we were able to get out of where we were parked and down the road the problem was the particular stretch of road was just like ice, we were falling down just walking on it (see pic of truck slid off) Shawna was in her Yukon and able to get it shut down, Jack was in his truck and slid into her caving in the whole side of his truck, and doing some damage to the Yukon.....that and this guys trailer was blocking the road, We made the decision that it was just to risky to try to get the trailers down...........So we parked them off the road and got everybody off the mountain..............As you can see the tow truck was there trying to get this truck out..............We will go up in a couple of days and pick up the trailers!

More pics, and

the bull with one of his ladies (he had 50 to 60)
not liking this car being so close (they have been ramming cars and even a big yellow dump truck)
He came really close to our truck right after a fight with another big bull
aren't they gorgeous!
....................................................
Have a couple more shots of the big bulls fighting but need to zoom and crop them before I can post them ( of course left the good zoom Len's in the camera bag in the fifth wheel) hopefully I will get to that soon.................................................................................................................................
...................................................................................................................................................................
So we came home Tues woke up to snow and decided it was enough to warrant going home, the 2 tall passes in Yellowstone were closed so had to take the long way around and for the first little while on snow packed and Icy roads, (no I wasn't driving, thank god, hehehehe) but once we made it to lake it had pretty much cleared from the roads, and the rest of the drive was uneventful....................................................................................................................................................
.......................................................................................................................................................................
Am repacking the trailer as we leave tomorrow for the elk hunt, we (OK I ) was hoping to go south in hope that the weather might be better, but there were no elk so were headed north with the weather for casters predicting snow for Friday night and all day Sat ( should make for good hunting) I'll be out of touch till Sunday night, hope everybody has a great weekend, and I will take lots of pics!
