Statue outside a gas station in Camp Verde.......Couple places of interest West out of Phoenix near Superior Arizona is the Boyce Thompson Aboretum. We spent a wonderful day there(yes I forgot the camera). We were able to take the dogs on all of the trails and only had a couple of cactus pricks in the cactus garden. They also have a herb garden, rose garden, hummingbird garden, Australia garden, and so much more with a lake lots of trails to walk on the weather was 74 degrees and beautiful. I would love to go back. From there we headed north to the Roosevelt lake area wonderful cactus forests and a wonderful lake area that we intend to visit again
