Well the moving sale this morning went very well. we sold almost everything, all the furniture is gone except for the kitchen table and a few odds and ends even the cloths I put out, everything went except for 12 items. We had a fight over the bedroom set with the first person bringing us the cash wins. We didn't have a lot of haggling over prices so I suspect that we had them set just about right. I had one lady tell me we were the sale to be at this morning. So all is well and what little is left will be easy to get rid of if we don't sell it in the morning

I know i have already posted today but I have new pics, We decided to take the afternoon of it being a holiday and all, I looked out the little side window just in time to see this
A nice little buck, and two does. I was able to get the door of the fifth wheel open without scaring them off and took these pictures through the hole in the screen door.

For sale!

I have no new pics for this post as I have been to busy to take any.
We have the first coat of primer on the library and will try and finish it up today. woohoo I am so sick of painting and cleaning and moving stuff I could just scream. I have decided I should of just sold the house completely furnished including clothes, lines, dishes, ect and started over.
We had some friends stop by and wanted to see what we were selling, they ended up buying $874.00 worth of stuff, I hope they enjoy it as much as we did. lol

a ROCKy in the pond!

My Rocky has decided he's a swimming dog (well OK its not deep enough but if it was) for now he just wades in an blows bubbles with his nose.
Its white once more, If you look to the right you can see the color it used to be . Just have the library left and its all done and I can't wait

A freak storm!

So we had a storm blow in last night around eleven o'clock and took out the power and some of our tree limbs.
The top pics are of the cottonwood tree's that the kids(not my kids) burned down last July 24 with fire works, They never recovered and this morning were laying out in the road
This is the tree outside of the TV room, luckily the branches that broke were the ones away from the house and we had no damage to either the house of or the shed

It also took down the hanging baskets of flowers off the porch and yet it didn't move anything else, kinda freaky

And I for my part slept right through it

The house is coming along, have 4 rooms completely done, painted carpets cleaned, windows washed. just 8 more to go, lol
Once I get this house finished and sold I am going to have to take a very long vacation.

What a garage full of furniture looks like?

Well we have moved into the fifth wheel as of Sunday, and so far so good.

We did do some modifications on the fifth wheel, which included removing the dinette, and jackknife couch, and they 2 really sucky rocking chairs.

We have added the new lazy boy love seat, which is way more comfortable and extended our bed by about 6 inches and added a 2 inch memory foam topper, well see what this does for the bed we may end up just buying a new mattress.

All of the furniture and most everything else is out of the house, now Its just paint and up goes the for sale sign

downsizing!

Who knew downsizing isn't as much fun as it sounds.
Thank goodness the kids wanted the stuff that I would really have a hard time selling (grandma's china cabinet) I have cleaned out all drawers, sorted and shredded 3 totes of paper, cleaned out cupboards and closets. Sorted through my clothes. I have it down to 5 pairs of shoe's ( I know for someone who doesn't wear shoes I am kinda crazy about shoe's). I was hoping to have everything moved to the garage by this weekend but its not going to happen
I did sell the travelute flatbed trailer, and the huge freezer and have had 2 people come look at the house. Its such a disaster that I hope they will come back once I get everything cleaned up
So not to bad for less than a weeks worth of work.

What has been going on!

obviously its quite a bit bigger than mine, but we have had a lot of fun just toodling around on them.

So the yard is done (well as done as we are going to make it) Dave picked up the cement mixers last night woooohoooo, if I never have to pour cement again it will be to soon.

The kids have been here (well except Ash she trying to get ready to go on vacation) going through the house, taking the things that go to them before we move everything we are not keeping to the garage in order to sell it.
I have started moving some things out, and have pretty much the laundry room, and most of the kitchen sorted and the things were going to sell moved out. Kolby and Daniele are taking most of the kitchen stuff for there fifth wheel that they are moving into.
I have replaced some of the dishes in the fifth wheel with stuff from the house. as they were nicer than what i had in there.
I am sorta at a stand still as the fifth wheel is down to the machine shop having a hitch put on the back so that we can take our scooters with us when we go, As soon as it gets back, we will start moving our everyday stuff into it, then will come the decisions on stuff we thought we were taking and what we really have room for. and what will need to go to storage
I have 3 large totes I have to go through of just papers from the last I don't know many years most of it I can shred, but some things I will have to keep as the IRS insist that i do.
Its amazing the kind of stuff you find when you really start going through things. I have one box with just rolls of tape, there's something like 18 rolls in there, all different kinds, masking, electrical, duct tape and the most amazing thing is that you can never find a roll when you really need it.
Well anyways as soon as I can get everything sorted, moved or sold then I can get the rest of the house painted and the FOR SALE sign out front. Wish me luck, as we have a lot of stuff.

The eagle

These were taken on the sound, this eagle grabbed a fish that the boys had thrown back into the water, the first ones are of the eagle in the water then the next are of him on the shore with the fish. The ones in between were to blurry to post and these suck because they are heavily cropped

Good news!

Liz got to go home yesterday about 3:30, Her ct scan showed that the infection hadn't gotten into the bone, so they put her on oral antibiotics and sent her home. She will have to go back in a couple of days and have her blood checked again, I'm sure Ash is so relieved to be home.The yard is really starting to look niceWe finished the area between the garage and the house, Just took a little weed barrier and some gravel, hope this helps keep the dirt down

Weed barrier and some flat rocks around the water spigots in the back, I love the weed barrier material, wonder if I can cover the whole 1.5 acres with it.
