Baby James is home and doing well. Lizard is adjusting to having a new baby brother and is now trying to be helpful by putting a blanket on him, giving him his binky, and patting him. She has had a couple of meltdowns but hopefully in the next few days she will realize he is a good thing.

Life and Death
Here's my boys the big baby and the small baby having a nap together. they make me smile
Its been one of those weeks with some good news and some sad news.
The good news is that baby James is coming, were just not sure when.
Ash has been having contractions off and on all week and we expect him any time.
The sad news is my grandmother on my dads side passed away on Tuesday.
Her services are on Sat and I have been so torn as to wether I should be here with Ash, Jason, little James and Lizard or there with my Grandmother, Dad, Aunt Karen, Uncle Ted, Robert and LeeAnne.
On to other things
This is our friends Dave and Reds new miniture donkey.
we drove up the other night to see him and he is very cute.
while not real tame yet I have no doubt that he will be very soon if Dave has anything to do with it

more pics
And now we wait!
Here is my latest project. The valances in my fifth wheel are ugly. They are a ugly color and a ugly pattern.
I had planned on recovering them almost from the day we bought this trailer but just hadn't got to doing it.
So while I was up the canyon I decided that would be the perfect time to start this project.
They worst part was getting the staples all taken out of the Valance in order to remove the old material.
The new material I used is leather pieces and a staple gun and hot glue
I love everything about them the color and the style.
I don't plan on putting the curtains back up as I like the clean look with out them plus the curtains were just not useful.
I will post more pics at the project is finished up

We had planned on heading back to the mountains yesterday but Ash had been to her doctor and he told her the new baby could come at anytime, So we decided to stay close to home till little James Dean makes his appearance.
So I will have to post the pics from our camping
We had a squirrel that felt that our dogs were so much fun and almost constantly chattered to them and would come down the tree far enough that they thought they would be able to catch him. Then he would run back up and call to them.
Rocky had the most patience and would sit for hours waiting at the bottom of the tree waiting

We headed for the hills!
On Thurs the 23rd we loaded the fifth wheel on the truck and headed for the canyon.
Its been wonderful up there. We have had rain almost every afternoon with temps running almost 20 degrees cooler than they have been in town.
Last Monday we drove up through the canyon and did not see one other person, camper, or vehicle.
We have seen the deer, many small animals and lots of cows. The bugs haven't been to bad.
We are down today to dump the tanks and refill. hopefully tomorrow if I can get some things taken care of we will be headed back up for another extended stay.
Haven't taken to many pics but hopefully I will have something to post next time
